Trump praised Kirk as “a fearless warrior for liberty” and said the assassination was “a heinous act meant to silence truth.” Erika Kirk accepted the medal, calling her late husband’s movement “a living legacy carried on by the next generation.” Congress passed concurrent resolutions recognizing Oct. 14 as a National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk.
